Keeping Your Power: Advocacy in Action Workshop for Doulas with Traci Weafer

Keeping Your Power Advocacy in Action Workshop with Traci Weafer, hosted by Allison Tate Birth Companion

Have you ever been told that doulas are not advocates? I disagree! We do and should advocate, but we need the skills to advocate effectively without the risk of burnout.

Evidence shows that 1 in 3 people have said they were traumatized in birth. What does that mean for doulas? This disheartening statistic means a few things.

Firstly, it means we need to take responsibility for our part in reducing trauma in the birth space. This means understanding advocacy in the doula role. Secondly, we can’t be 100% advocate doulas unless we understand our own advocacy identity.

The Keeping Your Power® Advocacy in Action Workshop enables you to step into this responsibility!

🔥 We dive deep into finding your doula power and how to keep it, so our clients can find and keep theirs.

🔥 We venture into challenging topics to gain solid skills in the event that a doula needs to advocate

🔥 We explore how to communicate with confidence and de-escalate tension, while facilitating conversations that focus on getting the clients information to make informed decisions

And so much more!

The workshop will be held in Valrico, FL – address will be provided once you have registered and paid for your spot.
